Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I grew up on Long Island in thr 80s and worked in NYC in the 90s. I went to many of the record stores you've mentioned, plus others whose names I can and can't remember (Generations, Second Coming, etc.). Was Stone Cellar in Roslyn a head shop?! I think I went to it once with friends. I lived a few towns over. I also loved Metro Records in Little Neck, it was my first import record store. It's now a comic book store, but I'm looking for pictures of it when it was Metro Records.
