When I first wrote this post, Rebel Rebel was alive and kicking. Alas, it is no longer. Here’s an article from the Brooklyn Vegan Other Music Closed For Good Rebel Rebel Too documenting its closing, with pictures of the store and its owner. How can a store named after a David Bowie song be bad?
And here’s another – Rebel Rebel – describing the author’s experiences in the store while it was open, circa 1997. Has a couple of pictures as well from time gone by. Got to love anyone who describes going to a used record store as “the thrill of the hunt.”
